Sergio van Luijk is a Partner at Rise Point Capital. He is also the founder and strategic advisor of Cap Expand Partners, an extension of his second-generation single-family office, where he also serves as Chief Investment Officer.

Sergio offers more than twenty years of experience in private equity, M&A and financing transactions. He has been involved in more than 40 deals ranging from management buy-outs and company sales to capital structure transactions. As CIO of Cap Expand Partners, he is responsible for asset allocation, governance and risk management of the family office portfolio.

Prior to founding Cap Expand Partners, Sergio was a Partner at Business Creation Investments, an independent sponsor. Earlier in his career he worked on international M&A and strategic projects at PwC, Umicore, Leonardo & Co., Oaklins and Bavaria, including assignments in Amsterdam and New York.

Sergio is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds an MBA in Finance from the Rotterdam School of Management, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology.
